Bio

Legal Advisor/North Africa Specialist and Maghreb expert at Manaar Legal Consultancy. Women’s rights activist member of “Women Legal Group”, providing pro-bono support for women’s right NGO’s, International law firms, asylum seekers and different advises in questions and issues related to women and children’s rights in the region (MENA). I also focus on training lawyers on how to better use the existing laws, but also work in partnership with Parliament members as well CSO’s to draft better laws for women’s rights development and judicial reforms. Training youth on Capacity building.

As an AMIDEAST contractor in Algeria, I work in promoting Youth Education for over six years’ projects run by State Department’s funds. I held a political position at both National and International levels. Joined the American Bar Association (ABA) for over five years as a legal advisor Program Manager, working closely with the Algerian & Moroccan Judicial Training centre’s as well as Ministry of Justice in both countries. I managed to put together first MOU between Algerian judiciary training centre and the ABA for a long-term cooperation in judicial reforms. Emphasizing on women’s rights under the family Law & strengthening the capacity building of different Bar Associations and Judges. Coordinator for Amideast programs in Tunisia & Algeria, for over 2 years bringing together young professionals from the MENA by organizing training and grants opportunities, conferences around Education, Women, Business and Politics.
